Be Consistent
This is the same rule that applies to direct-mail promotion. Whatever you choose to do in terms of e-mail marketing, be consistent in your approach.
- If you plan to do a monthly e-mail newsletter, then make sure you do one every month — preferably at the same time each month.
- Just as your printed newsletters and sale flyers should have a consistent “look and feel,” so should your e-mail newsletters and special event notices. Use the same colors, corporate logo and formatting for each message. Your store is more than just a store. It is also a “brand.” Consistency in appearance helps reinforce your brand identity.
